Waar herken je een continuous vorm aan?

I am jumping

I have been jumping

I will be jumping

I had been jumping

I was jumping

We hebben ooit de 'present perfect continuous' al gehad.
Vul in deze zin de present perfect continuous in:
I _____ (to wait) for ages!

Je kan ook een PAST perfect continuous maken, op bijna dezelfde manier. Vul die in de volgende zin in:
I _____ (to wait) for ages when you finally showed up.

Again: Vul in de volgende zin de past perfect continuous in!
He _____ (to study) for hours when he finally realised he hadn't eaten all day.

En, dat kan ook bij de toekomst! Dan gebruik je WILL.
Gebruik in de volgende zin de future continuous.
I'm afraid we ____ (wait) for the train for quite a while longer because of the snow.

And... again: de future continuous!
After this is finished, I _____ (to sleep) for days.

When do you use which?

Present Perfect Continuous:  FYNEJAS, vooral for... now,
                                                               in het verleden begonnen te doen, nu nog                                                                         steeds.

Past Perfect Continuous:      before/after, eerder dan iets anders aan het                                                                       doen in het verleden.

Past Continuous:       in het verleden 'aan het' doen, duurde langer

Present Continuous:     NU 'aan het' doen

Future Continuous:       wat je in de toekomst 'aan het' doen bent.

Tomorrow I ____ (to watch) a Harry Potter marathon, so I won't do any work.
