How do we give feedback to our fellow students?

Toptip-method

The toptip method helps you to give feedback in a positive way.

• Formulate your negative feedback as a tip. Don't say: "that was a bad presentation," but say:  "If you review your presentation and change some of your sentences then your story would make a lot more sense." Then the presenter knows what he/she can do to improve it.

• For each negative feedback (tip) you also give a positive piece of feedback (top). That way the presenter will also hear what is going well and he/she will feel more confident and positive.

The plural

Most zelfstandige naamwoorden (nouns) get -en at the end in the plural:

het konijn-de konijnen

de hond-de honden

Nouns that end with -a, -i, -e, -o, -u, or -y end with 's in the plural: de baby-de baby's

And words with -en, -el, -en, -er, -em at the end get -s in the plural: 

Hotel-hotels
varken-varkens

There are a few exceptions.

kind - kinderen, blad - bladeren, ei - eieren, 

schip-schepen,  stad-steden

Words that get 's in plural

All words that end on a vowel (except -e, é, en -ee):

  -a: de opa – de opa’s

  -i: de taxi – de taxi’s

  -o: de auto – de auto’s

  -u: de paraplu – de paraplu’s

  -y: de baby – de baby’s
