The plot

A masked vigilante named V seeks to overthrow a totalitarian government controlling a dystopian Britain. He rescues a young woman, Evey, and begins his campaign of revenge against those who tortured him in a government experiment. By this point, V has already killed a corrupt judge and a propaganda minister, and he tricks Evey into helping him confront and kill a pedophilic priest complicit in his past suffering.
