What does future mean?

Instruction 

Four options:

1. to be going to + ww
2. Will or shall +ww
3. present simple 
4. present continuous 

To be going to + ww

Als het plan er al was voor het gesprek 

Bij een voorspelling gebaseerd op een aanwijzing

He is going to travel around the world next year

Look at the dark clouds, it is going to rain

Will/shall + ww

Een plan dat tijdens het gesprek ontstaat

We will go to the cinema soon

Bij een spontaan aanbod, belofte, voorstel of verzoek

I will get it for you

Een voorspelling gebaseerd op een mening of onzekerheid 

I think it will be boring 

Bij feiten  (Water will boil at 100 degrees celcius) 

Present simple

Dingen die volgens schema gaan gebeuren (rooster)

The train leaves at 9 o'clock

School starts at 8:15 am

Present continuous

Dingen die gepland staan en vrijwel zeker gaan gebeuren, er is bijvoorbeeld al wat voor geregeld

We are playing football next week

They are going to a party tonight

Exercises (5.2 ex. 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11)

You have two options:

1. you work on the exercises independently

2. You work on the exercises with help from your teacher

Option 1 means that the teacher won't be able to help immediately. If you have a question, look it up in your book or skip the assignment.  (homework check)
