Concentration Camps
  • Hitler banned all other political parties. Only the NSDAP remained.  
  • Political opponents were imprisoned in special concentration camps. 
Camp in which people who a regime thinks are not part of society are imprisoned without trial.

Loyal to the Führer




  • Hitlerjugend: boys were prepared for life as soldiers who followed the orders of the Führer without thinking.
  • Bund Deutscher Mädel: girls learned how to be a good housewife and that the ideal German woman bore many children.

Indoctrination: Systematically teaching and forcing the ideas of particular group or party onto people.

Hitler becomes more popular




  • Hitler is immensely popular around 1934. Things are going well in Germany.
  • As long as you do not belong to a minority, you will reap the benefits of his policy.
  • Due to large-scale job creation projects, unemployment is falling rapidly, and Germans are regaining self-confidence and nationalistic feelings
