Invent a SportYour project today is to invent a new sport.
It can be a combination of two old sports, or something completely new. It can be played anywhere and can cost as much money as you want.
First, brainstorm with your group and make sure everyone has a chance to share their ideas.
You don’t have to answer the questions in this order. If you want to take a picture or two, that is fine too.
Have fun and be creative!
Some questions to answer (you can add your own information too):
• What is the name of your sport?
• How many players on one team?
• Are there special positions for the players (like goalkeeper or pitcher)? What are they called and what can they do?
• What special equipment do you need to play the game?
• Is there a special field or space for the game to be played? How big is it and what should it look like?
What is the objective of the game? How do you win?
• How long is a match of your game? Is it divided into halves, quarters, etc.?
• What are the 8 most important rules of your game?
When you write the rules, try to use as many modals as you can, such as ‘Must’, ‘Have to’ ‘Can’, ‘Can’t’, “Should”, “Shouldn’t” etc.
Put all of this into one piece of paper and hand it in in itslearning / Leerjaar 2 Generiek / Engels / T4 Week 3 Opdracht Invent a sport.
