Can you say the same without repeating the car again and again?

I like it because it is red.

We do the same in Spanish!

Me gusta el coche. Quiero comprar el coche. Mi madre tambien quiere el coche.  Prefiero el coche rojo. 

It sounds better like this:

Me gusta el coche. Lo quiero comprar. Mi madre tambien lo quiere. Lo prefiero rojo. 

Objeto directo

Yo compro flores para mi madre

verb: compro (this is the action the phrase is expressing)

Ask the WHAT question. 

¿QUÉ compro? 

The answer is flores  (las flores)

flores is the OBJETO DIRECTO and is plural and feminine

So you can say: Yo las compro

Laura compra unas flores para su Madre

verbo: compra

¿qué compra?

What does she buys? 

unas flores

We can use LAS instead of "las flores"

Laura las compra para su madre

masculino singular: el coche 

femenino singular: la mesa

masculino plural: 

los zapatos

How to use it

KEY QUESTION!  For whom? or To whom?

For my mother: for her  ella

Le compro el coche (BEFORE THE VERB!!!!)

What if we also change "el coche" for a pronoun? (OD)

SE LO COMPRO  

WHAT!!!!!

When LE is used together with an OD pronun it goes before this pronoun and changes to SE

SE LO COMPRO 

se= for my mother/ to my mother

lo = the car

This only happens with LE

The other OI pronouns stay the same
