Rekening houden met 3 minuutjes pauze als ze net terug zijn

Overgang 'pauze' naar doelen: alright everybody, good morning. Put your phones in the phone bag. I want all 21 of them in there. Put all your food and drinks in your bag and take out your books, a notebook and a pen. Compliment the students who already have their books/put their phones away. Make it go quick. They can do this within 30 seconds because it's all a reminder of what I already said.

Today we have the first 2 presentations and after that we will work on the Stones. Student, please read out the goals for me.

4. vertrekken - dit wel echt doen. Als ik dit consequent doe, gebeurt het mogelijk een aantal keer, maar daarna hopelijk niet meer.

Presentations

1. While the person in front of the class is presenting, the rest of the class is quiet. Laughter will not be tolerated.

2. Those not presenting write down: 1 tip, 1 top, 1 question about the topic.

3. When the presentation is done, we will have a short questions and feedback round. Any feedback you hear is for everyone.

A couple of rules about the presentation to keep in mind. Comment that laughter if the presenter makes a joke is obviously allowed, but any other laughter is not. They all write down 1 tip, 1 top and 1 question about the topic of the presentation.

This start up and explanation and getting the PowerPoint ready should take about 2-3 minutes. After which we have 2 presentations of (hopefully) around 5-8 minutes.

In addition, there will be about 3 minutes per presentation to give feedback and ask the questions that were written down.

Making this part of the lesson a total of about 26 minutes.

*Like: Voor zelfstandig naamwoorden en persoonlijke voornaamwoorden

Zelf bezig:

Verwachtingen: Dan ga je nu de opdrachten van de hand-out maken. Ik wil iedereen bezig zien met deze opdrachten. Je doet dit op fluisterniveau. Je mag samenwerken. Als je klaar bent met de opdrachten dan mag je kiezen tussen een 2e hand-out of de Test Jezelf. Als je ook daar mee klaar bent doe je de andere optie.

Zet leerlingen aan het werk.

Als leerlingen niet bezig zijn waar ze mee bezig moeten zijn: 

1. Herhaal de verwachtingen

2. Waarschuw ze

3. Verplaats ze naar een plek waar ze alleen zitten.

4. Geef ze strafwerk op. Woensdag leveren ze in: Beide hand-outs. Deze gaan ze buiten het lokaal maken. Alleen boeken/papier en pen mee, de tas en telefoon blijven in het lokaal.

Students may not put their books away until I am done discussing the goals with them. If they do, they need to grab them again. No exceptions. (Unless I have told them they could in the step before this)
