Sentence structure!
Begin altijd met onderwerp, dan de werkwoorden, vervolgens voorwerp / naamwoorden.

Tijd: tijd komt altijd voor of achteraan de zin.
Laura is beautiful. I want to marry Laura.
My dog doesn’t like cats.
I live with my parents.
We will go to New York tomorrow.

Slide 8 - Tekstslide

Mind your punctuation!

Slide 9 - Tekstslide

Mind your punctuation!
Punctuation: a period
A period '.' > at the end of each sentence.

Avoid stringing sentences on:
Yesterday I went to school and there I studied English
and I also saw my friends.

Yesterday I went to school. There I studied English.
I also saw my friends.

Slide 10 - Tekstslide

Mind your punctuation!
Punctuation: comma's
A comma ',' for:
- 'lists' or series of words
We bought apples, peaches, and bananas today.

A comma is often a 'soft pause' to clarify something within the sentence or to separate ideas.

Never a comma between a subjet and the belonging verb:
My friend Cleo, is a wonderful singer. WRONG!
