Sounds of English

When the lighthouse keeper’s lovely young daughter Thelma makes crab and lobster rolls, people come from far and near

to enjoy fresh air and searching for treasure on the beach.

We will listen to different extracts of people speaking English 

You will have to guess in what accent the person is speaking.

Your dream holiday!

• You will prepare a 3-minute speech about your dream holiday 
  
• You can take notes but CANNOT read your speech out Loud 
• If you need any help, you can ask me
• You will get 5-10 minutes for this, If you are finished, you can practise the speech, because you will need it later

Why this?

• In your oral exam you will have to be able to speak for 2x 5 full minutes. This exercise helps improve your fluency.

• You will now form pairs, and give your 3-minute description of your dream holiday. 
  

Part 3!

• You will not go to a new partner, and give the same description, But you will get 2.5 minutes now.
  

Part 4 (the final part, I promise)

• You will now go to another new partner and give the same description, but you will only get 2 minutes now.
