Adverbs! What are adverbs?

Adverbs

Adverbs = bijwoorden

Adverbs zijn woorden die iets zeggen over een werkwoord.

I always go to bed early.

He is really cool.

They aren't usually this late.

REGELS

1. Bijwoorden staan voor het hoofdwerkwoord. 

2. Bijwoorden staan na een vorm van to be. 

3. Bij ontkenningen met to be zet je not tussen het werkwoord en het bijwoord.

Adverbs = bijwoorden

 probably/ really/ just/ always/ never/ usually/ still.

Bijwoorden staan vóór het hoofdwerkwoord:
The soccer team always meets at 14.00.
Charlton still thinks you're a great player.
My team probably played worse without me.

Bijwoorden - adverbs

Bijwoorden na alle vormen van to be.

Are you tired? - Yes, I am always tired at this time of day.

He is still not here.
