Good morning!

Today’s goals:

1. Learning how to apply reading strategies for a text with multiple-choice questions.

2. Learning about phrasal verbs and figuring out which ones are (not) separable.

What you need: 

Laptop + textbook (page 67)

What are important things to do when doing a reading activity?

The very first step

Begin by quickly scanning the text to grasp its structure and main ideas. 

Also pay attention to headings, subheadings and any bold or italicized text.

What do we know about the text on page 67 just by scanning the content?

The next step:

Reading the text carefully and taking brief notes.

Read the text on page 67 and write down any words that come up (you can do this multiple times)

In case of multiple-choice questions:

Look at the questions and try to answer them before looking at the answer choices.

Why is it not correct?

Phrasal verbs MUST be separated when the object is a pronoun.
