The Fall
Emperor Theodosius the Great was the last emperor who ruled both parts of the Roman Empire. In 380 AD, he made Christianity the only official religion in the empire. But he failed to restore order in the empire.
When he died in 395 AD, the Goths had set up a kingdom within the empire. In 410 AD the Visigoths sacked Rome.
