Vertical Power Distribution
Vertical power-sharing is division of power along different levels of government
So, some levels have more power then other levels.
There is a central power which controls the sub powers and thus has the most power.

Horizontal power distribution
Division of power over organs of the government which are equal.
So, all the organs have the same amount of power.
All organs are independent and checks the other organs.

All the organs work at different level but for the same purpose.

The power of the central government is the highest and local government is the lowest.
Horizontal division of powers

All the organs work at the same level but for a different purpose.

So no organ has absolute or unlimited powers.
