I went on holiday with my family. Nothing particularly exciting had happened at the time of this photo. But it was a moment of appreciation. We were just done admiring the magnificent mosque-cathedral. It had been rather chilly inside. The children ran laughing, out into the bright courtyard, among the finely tended orange trees. My son briefly dribbled a fallen orange, my daughter skipped along the stone stair. We sat, joyful in the winter sun, a fountain trickling in the background. Then we walked out into the narrow street, pretty little souvenir -shop wares diplayed between red-flowered walls. We found a cosy corner in a small cafe and had some tea and tortilla sandwiches.
