Story relay (10 min)

You will collaboratively create a story, alternating between using the Past Simple and Past Continuous tenses.

1. I will form random groups of 4 or 5.

2. Each student will take turns contributing one sentence to a story. Example: Student 1 (Past Continuous): "I was walking in the park when..."

Student 2 (Past Simple): "...I found a strange-looking key on the ground."

3. Cannot think of scenraios? Think of holidays, the beach, themeparks, the cinema, at the footballgame, etc.

4. After the time is up, 1 person from each group will read the story.
