Lesson Goals

2. start working on a presentation about my favourite type of video.

Task 1

1. Find an appropriate YouTube video that I like together with my partner - 30 seconds to 1 minute.

Presentation Goals (formative Assessment)

1. My YouTube video is 30 seconds to 2  minute long.
2. The text for my presentation is about 60 words.
3. I say what the title of my video is.
4. I explain what the video is about.
5. I say how many views the video has.
6. I describe what happens in the video.
7. I explain why I like this video.

Presentatie Doelen

1. Mijn YouTube-video duurt 30 seconden tot 2 minuut.
2. De tekst voor mijn presentatie is ongeveer 60 woorden.
3. Ik zeg wat de titel van mijn video is.
4. Ik leg uit waar de video over gaat.
5. Ik zeg hoeveel views de video heeft.
6. In de video beschrijf ik wat er gebeurt.
7. Ik leg uit waarom ik deze video leuk vind.

Presentation Example

1. The title of my video is, "Trump Anthem".
2. This video has had 3,9 (Three million, nine hundred thousand views).
3. Our video is about a bad lip reading of American president singing the American national anthem.


4. Trump puts his hand on his chest and begins singing the national anthem. He is mumbling because he doesn't know the words. He's also swaying from side-to-side. Towards the end, when he doesn't know the words, he just smiles. He looks really silly.
5. I really like this video because it makes Trump look silly and it's funny to watch him make a fool of himself.

Task 2

1. Complete the text for my presentation (about 60 words).

3. Practice what I'm going to say in my presentation.

Present Simple - Doing things always, often or sometimes

Dingen altijd, vaak of soms doen:

In de present simple gebruik je de basisvorm van het werkwoord:

• I play...         You work…       They swim…

Als je (he/she/it) gebruikt, moet je +s aan het werkwoord toevoegen.

• He plays…    She jumps…     It kicks…
  

Present Continuous - Doing things now

Dingen nu doen:

In de present continuous gebruik je am/is/are + een woord eindigend op -ing:

• I am working.               
• He/she/it is working. / The dog is running.
• We are working. /  They are working.  /  You are working.   

Present Continuous - Talking about now or always: present simple or present continuous

Voor dingen die vaak, altijd, soms of nooit gebeuren, gebruik je de present simple.

Signaalwoorden: always, often, sometimes, never, every day enz.

Als iets nu bezig is, dan gebruik je de present continuous.

Signaalwoorden: at the moment, right now, now, today enz.
