Goals

• At the end of the lesson you can put place and time in the correct order.
  

Place before time

• Place and time are usually at the end of a sentence.
• When both place and time are in a sentence, place comes before time.
  E.g.: I went to school at 7.30 this morning.
• You can also put time at the beginning of a sentence. This is used voor emphasis (nadruk) + needs a comma.
  E.g.: In 2012, we went to Paris.

2. There was a really bad blizzard in NYC in 1888.
3. The book Krakatao is about the volcanic eruption in Indonesia in 1883.
4. The titanic set out for her first voyage from Southampton in England to NYC on April 10 1912.
5. One of the sailors spotted a large iceberg south of the Grand Banks of Newfoundland at 23.40 on April 14, 1912.
6. The Titanic sank in the middle of the Atlantic ocean on 15 April 1912.
