Present Continuous = Happening now.

We use the present continuous to talk about:

Temporary things which have begun but have not finished.

(We gebruiken de huidige continue te praten over tijdelijke zaken die zijn begonnen maar nog niet zijn afgelopen)

Present Continuous 

How do you use the Present Continuous?

(the verb to be) + stem (-ing)

* Het werkword 'to be' betekent 'zijn'.

Example: I am running to school!

Present continuous

The verb to be:

am - I am running to school.

is - He is cycling to school.

are - They are swimming to school.

* To be is een onregelmatig werkword en verandertdus van vorm bij elke persoon (pg.210 workbook)
