Upcycling is the process of transforming old or discarded materials into something useful and of higher quality.

What is the difference between recycling and upcycling?

Recycling: the destruction of waste in order to create something new. 

Upcycling: takes waste and creates something new from it in its current state.

What are the benefits of upcycling?

Benefits of Upcycling

• Recycling is better for the environment than simply throwing things away, but it still requires a lot of energy and resources to recycle something. 
• Upcycling requires less additional resources and energy to be used.
