Slide 5 - Sleepvraag

The energy cycle of life
Paragraph 1.6

Slide 6 - Tekstslide

Mitochondria
  • Mitochondria are cell organelles   present in fungal, plant and animal cells.

  • Mitochondria breakdown glucose to produce the energy that the cell needs to live.
  • This process is called "cellular respiration"

Slide 7 - Tekstslide

Cellular respiration
  • Oxygen is needed to     breakdown glucose.

  • Water, carbon dioxide and   energy are formed during   the process

Slide 8 - Tekstslide

Where does the glucose come from?
  • Plants produce glucose via a process called photosynthesis

  • This proces takes place in chloroplasts. Chloroplasts are organelles in plant cells

Slide 9 - Tekstslide

Do plants cells also perform cellular respiration?
Yes
No

Slide 10 - Poll

Photosynthesis
  • Planten

  • Photosynthesis produces glucose end oxygen

Slide 11 - Tekstslide

What is the link between cellular respiration and photosynthesis?

Slide 12 - Tekstslide

What is the link between cellular respiration and photosynthesis?
