Ruin

There are parts in a ruin that continue to crumble.
Other parts remain in place.
This crumbling creates chaos, everything is mixed up.
The other parts that are still standing ensure order again.
These two (order and chaos) represent a characteristic of the ruin.

Texture
The ruin you are going to make has a clear texture.
A texture is a skin that you can feel (smooth, rough, hairy, etc.)
Look at the pictures of ruins. First draw softly with pencil (hb) three textures that you see in images of ruins.
Copy these lines/textures with pen and ink.

OLD BUILDING IN ABANDONED VALLEY

From our reporters

During a brisk walk in a hilly landscape in Luxembourg, a group of hikers got lost.
After a long and exhausting search, they reached civilization on their own.
From their stories it can be concluded that they saw a large and imposing
structure in a previously unknown valley.
The building would consist of high towers, round domes with
small extensions and sloping roofs.
Many parts of walls and roofs had collapsed and due to the overgrowth of bushes,
moss and trees, much of it was not clearly visible.
The building appears to be constructed of natural stone, cement or loam.
The many windows are said to have wooden frames and windows and, according to the walkers, the roofs are covered with slate and tiles.
The many damaged ornaments also indicate that this building must have had a very important function in the past.
