1: In gewone (bevestigende) zinnen.

2: Wanneer je iemand iets aanbiedt.

3: In vragen waarvan je denkt dat het antwoord 'ja' gaat zijn.

1: I'd like to throw away some papers.
2: Would you like some water?
3: Mum, can I go do some homework?

     Some & any

Er zijn 2 redenen om any te gebruiken:

1: In ontkenningen (zinnen met not)

2: In vragen waarop je het antwoord niet weet

1: I don't have any brothers or sisters.
2: Have you got any pets?

     Some & any

Dus:

- bij bevestigende zinnen >  some

- bij ontkennende zinnen > any

- bij vragen > some als je iets aanbiedt of het antwoord is ja

                   > any als je het antwoord niet weet
