What the tests are about

1st term

Gold Unit 1: all activities except 'Use of English'

2nd, 3rd, 4th terms:

Novel:           Multiple Choice and open questions about the

                        novels we read in class

Gold:             1,5 units per test

All tests are BYOD tests

2 Reading texts from the Student's book are all Close Reading,        texts, so you know and understand each word in the text.

Getting to know each other

In class:

Outside (behind the school, through the PE-corridor)

2 Find someone who ... (walk around, address various classmates)  

    - You will get a candy for your answers, don't eat it yet ...

3 Talk about yourself (sit down, work in groups of 4 to 6 people)

4 Walk and swap (get up again and walk)

I have been a teacher at the GSR for more than 35 years. 

I passed my driving licence the first time. 

I've created more than four different working websites. 

Apart from being a teacher, I'm also an impessario for musicians. 

I've once won the first prize in a fashion show. 

Before I became a teacher, I was a stewardess for two years. 

I've got four children and eight grandchildren. 

I once flew to Madrid just to visit a classical concert. 

I studied English at Leiden University. 

One of my hobbies is reading dictionaries.
