Present tense- tegenwoordige tijd

Je gebruikt de tegenwoordige tijd wanneer je het hebt over (1) feiten of over (2) dagelijkse dingen. 

Example:

(1) I live in Amersfoort.

(2) Alex loves to cut hair.

Wanneer je het over een he/she/it  hebt, dan voeg je een -s toe aan het werkwoord. 

I swim on Saturdays

She swim(s) on Saturdays

• A tense says something about the time of a sentence

• A tense says something about the past, present or future of a sentence
  
• You can always tell what tense a sentence is by looking at the verb in a sentence

We never change the verb itself when used in present tense. 

EXCEPT:

SHIT-rule: She, He + IT = always use an 's' behind the verb.
