p. 442. The text describes estivation as a period of months when the frog is dormant and at rest.
Name two animals from Survival at 40 Below that this reminds you of.

p. 444. The text says the cat is is a predator for small marsupials and reptiles.
It also says the dingo helps control the feral cats so these marsupials can survive.
When an animal is taken out of a food chain, it can result in an overpopulation of another animal that is lower on the chain. If the dingo did not exist, there might be more feral cats, which would threaten the ____________ population.

p. 447. The main idea of the final paragraph is the that a seven-year drought in the desert is over. What is a supporting detail from the final paragraph?

How does the sand goanna find shade?

Why do many birds travel hundreds of miles to a newly formed desert swamp?

What would happen if the mulgara suddenly became extinct?

Explain one way an animal can take in water without actually drinking it.

Seeds are durable (strong and can survive). Seeds can lie dormant if there is not enough moisture. How long did they say a seed can wait before sprouting? They just need water :)
