Writing exam

• 'Generic' exam (A2 level)
• Duration: 1  hour
• 3-4 writing products, for example: 2 personal messages (e-mails), a form to fill out and an informal letter
• Online exam
• You are allowed to use a dictionary (Dutch - English)
• Schoolyear

About the exam (in Dutch)

Wat verwachten we op A2 niveau?

1. voldoende woordenschat om vertrouwde dingen te omschrijven zoals over familie, hobby's, werk, reizen en actuele gebeurtenissen

2. eenvoudige constructies, juiste vorm van tegenwoordige tijd (VT mogen nog foutjes in gemaakt worden)

3. eenvoudige zinnen in zoveel mogelijk de juiste (Engelse) woordvolgorde

4. lopende tekst die over het algemeen begrijpelijk is. Gebruik van hoofdletters, punten en vraagtekens. Spellingfouten mag zolang fonetisch duidelijk is wat bedoeld wordt.

5. een samenhangend geheel bij voorkeur door gebruik van voegwoorden zoals: en, maar, omdat  (and, but, because)

- zorg dat je alle opdrachten maakt -> 1 niet gemaakt, examen wordt niet beoordeeld

- zorg dat je alle punten binnen een opdracht verwerkt, 1 gemist punt kan zorgen voor puntaftrek

Algemene tips en informatie

1. Lees de opdracht eerst helemaal door

2. Zet een kruisje bij wat je verwerkt hebt

3. Gebruik juiste aanhef en afsluiting

4. Maak eerst een kladversie

5. Gebruik een woordenboek (maar niet teveel)

6. Zoek naar de juiste vertaling, pak niet altijd meteen de eerste optie

7. Zorg voor een nette lay out, juiste interpunctie en corrigeer niet te veel

Tips and information - informal e-mail

Algemene tips en informatie

1. Gebruik juiste aanhef en afsluiting: Dear ...... / Kind regards,/Best regards,

2. Informeel taalgebruik, geen moeilijke woorden (maar geen sms-taal: thnx, gr8)

3. Afkortingen mogen: I'm, we don't, you haven't got

4. Een zin met I beginnen MAG (schrijf I altijd met een hoofdletter!)

5. Let op juist gebruik van de tijden (bv tegenwoordige tijd stam+s bij he/she/it)
