Muffin Mania: Exploring the World of Muffins

Learning Objective

At the end of the lesson you will be able to research and differentiate between American style sweet and savory muffins and old English muffins, create 3 Pic Collages, and compile a recipe book featuring the different types of muffins.

Types of Muffins

American sweet and savory muffins, and old English muffins are the three main types of muffins we will be exploring today.

Independent Research

Students will conduct independent research to gather information about the three types of muffins and write a short paragraph about each type.

Creating Pic Collages

Students will use their research findings to create three Pic Collages, one for each type of muffin.

Recipe Book Creation

Students will compile a recipe book featuring recipes for the different types of muffins researched.

Recipe Book Design

Students will design the layout and cover for their recipe book, including images of the muffins and their recipes.

Preparation and Baking

Students will have the opportunity to prepare and bake one of the muffin recipes from their recipe book.
