What is a key phrase?

A key phrase is a short group of words that are important (belangrijk) in a sentence.

These phrases help the reader understand (begrijp) the main idea without needing to focus on every single word. 

Elephants are the largest land animals, and they use their trunks to drink water, pick up food, and communicate with each other.
