Molluscs
Molluscs (weekdieren) soft animals, which are characterized by their shell. Other characteristics are that they have a mantle and muscular feet for movement. 
The bivalves (shell animals), squids, octospusses, slugs and snails are all part of this phylum.

Like a lot of other sea animals we have discussed, molluscs often feed themselves by filtering the water. However, there are some molluscs that are predators.
