Slide 1 - Tekstslide

We gebruiken reported speech om op een later tijdstip te herhalen wat wij zelf hebben gezegd, of wat iemand anders heeft gezegd. 

Direct speech:
"We are trying to pay attention!"

Indirect speech: 
They said (that) they were trying to pay attention.

Kijk op de volgende slide goed naar de twee zinnen (direct en indirect) en wat er in een andere kleur is geschreven. 
Probeer alvast de volgende vragen te beantwoorden voor jezelf: 

- Wat gebeurt er met de werkwoorden? 
- Wat gebeurt er met voornaamwoorden? (I,you, us, his, her, our) 
- wat gebeurt er met bijwoorden van plaats en tijd?

I'm going to do my homework tonight. 
She said she was going to do her homework that night

Geeft weer wat iemand letterlijk zegt
Beschrijft wat iemand zegt
1. Begin de zin met bijvoorbeeld: He said (that)...They asked if....
Do you like the beach?
He asked if I liked the beach. 
2. Zet de zin in de juiste verleden tijd. 
I know the story.
He said (that) I knew the story.
3. Pas de verwijzingen aan.
I am leaving tomorrow
She told me (that) she was leaving the next day.

- Present simple                --> Past simple

- Present perfect               --> Past perfect
