Basic info

"Linking words" verbinden woorden en zinnen.

 

De meest voorkomende verbindingswoorden zijn and, because, but, so, or

Where do linking words go in a sentence?

1. in the middle
2. in the beginning
3. at the end
4. wherever it wants

Words that go in the beginning:

Also, although, first, for example, therefore, in fact, however

Deze woorden zijn "transitions" en laten zien wat voor soort zin het zal zijn voordat je deze leest.

Examples

Als je "for example" gebruikt, weet de lezer dat u nu een voorbeeld geeft.

 

Als je "also" gebruikt, weet de lezer dat deze zin aansluit bij de vorige.
