Past simple negative ex. 2

Turn the positive sentences into negative sentences. In your answer, write WHOLE sentences!

Example:
We visited all the houses --> We didn't visit all the houses.

I wanted to go home

The poor people lived in big houses.

Dad ordered a pizza for lunch.

It rained in the afternoon.

Write down two things per verb what you did and didn't do this past week (you can make up activities).

In your answers, use WHOLE sentences!

Past simple = verleden tijd

Je gebruikt de past simple als je het hebt over een gebeurtenis in het verleden. 

Vaak staat in de zin LADY = Last/ Ago/ Date /Yesterday

Je plakt -(e)d achter het  regelmatige werkwoord om het in de past simple te zetten.

Past simple = verleden tijd

They climbed that mountain in 1987.

We visited the zoo last Friday.                      

He stopped to take a picture.                       

The monkey tried to steal my necklace.

Past simple = questions

1. Als de werkwoorden be (was/were), would en could in de zin staan, zet je die aan het begin van de zin om een vraag te maken.

Your friend was glad to see me -->  

Was your friend glad to see me?

2. Bij andere werkwoorden heb je het hulpwerkwoord to do nodig. Daarna verander je het werkwoord in het hele werkwoord!

regel: DID .... (onderwerp).....HELE WERKWOORD (- ed of rijtje 1)

I jumped far enough --> Did I jump far enough?

Maak van deze zin een correcte vraag:
You walked to school.

Maak van deze zin een correcte vraag:
Tim went to the store.

Maak van deze zin een correcte vraag:
My parents were late.

Maak van deze zin een correcte vraag:
Casper sang beautifully.

Vorm een vraag:
I grabbed my books.

Past simple = ontkenningen

1. Als de werkwoorden to be (was/were), would en could in de zin staan, zet je not of n't achter het werkwoord

Your friend was glad to see me --> Your friend wasn't glad to see me

Past simple = ontkenningen

2. Bij andere werkwoorden voeg je to do + not (did not / didn't) toe aan de zin. Het hoofdwerkwoord verandert in het hele werkwoord! 

Regel: DIDN'T of DID NOT + HELE WERKWOORD 

I jumped far enough --> I didn't jump far enough

Maak een ontkennende zin:
You were at the game yesterday.

Maak deze zin ontkennend:
He caught the ball.

Maak deze zin ontkennend:
We saw the film.

He could believe we won.
