What are quantifiers?
Quantifiers are words that tell you how much you have of something
There are non-countable (niet telbare) quantifiers such as: 
- much, any, a little, a lot of

and there are countable (telbare) quantifiers. Such as:
- many, some, a few, a lot of

mnemonic: can you count the word? Use 1... 2... 3...
1 money, 2 money -> not countable.   1 pen, 2 pens, 3 pens  -> countable

Some rules to keep in mind...
Some/Any
1. Some is used in positive sentences. Any in negative ones and questions. 

2. Some means 'een paar'/'een beetje'
Any means 'geen'

Much, many & a lot of
3. A lot of can be used in positive, negative sentences and questions, with both (plural) countable and uncountable nouns. 
4. Many is used with plural countable nouns
5. Much is used with plural uncountable nouns

They all mean 'veel'/'een grote hoeveelheid'
plural means 'meervoud'

A little, a few
6. a little is used in positive sentences. It is used with uncountable nouns.
7. a few is used in positive sentences. it is used with countable nouns.

They both mean 'een beetje'/'een kleine hoeveelheid'
