  1. You can explain why there are water shortages in the north.
  2. You can explain at least 2 solutions against the water shortage.
  3. You can explain how an aquifer was created and how vulnerable it is to use this water.
  4. You can distinguish advantages and disadvantages of the use of a storage dam.
  5. You understand the terms pollution, exhaustion and degradation and you are able to come up with examples in China, related to these terms. 
  6. You are able to interpret a graph with the regime of a river.

     Many Chinese cities suffer from smog.
Causes and measures:
1. More and more cars --> 
                                            mandatory cleaner/electric cars
2. Factories and coal-fired power stations --> 
                                             use filters and make chimneys higher
3. Coal stoves in houses -->
                                             use gas stoves instead
