This week we are going to combine all we have learned this chapter to practice for out next test: speaking

Many new inventions

1. Read stone 6 about describing inventions.

2. Watch the following 3 short clips about new inventions.
Remember which one you liked best and be ready to describe it.

Which invention did you like best?

Why did you like that invention?

1. Why is it a good invention?

2. How does it work?

3. Why would anyone want it?

4. What problem does it (help) solve?

Assignment:

Find a problem you face everyday. This can be a big problem (Always late to school) or a small problem (pasta is difficult to eat). You have 7 minutes to use the internet to find a problem. If you found one, put in your answer on the next slide.

Inventions (help) solve everyday problems. What is a problem you face everyday?

Is your problem a common problem? Why do you think so?

The task

- Create a new invention for a problem you often face. 

- You will give a short presentation about your invention (3 minutes) about the problem, the invention and why everyone should buy your invention.

- the goal is to sell your invention to the others in your class

- us the words and stones from this chapter to help you.

- you have this and next class to do research and prepare. 

- Next week we have some randomly chosen presentations! (NOT FOR A GRADE!!!) 

For the remainder of this class:

- Think of a problem

- Think of a way to solve it, what kind of solution can you think of?

- Think of how an inventions should work to solve your problem
