What are demonstrative pronouns?

Demonstrative pronouns are used to point to specific people, animals or things. 

There are 4 demonstrative pronouns: 

• this 
• that 
• these 
• those 

When do you use which demonstrative pronoun?

To decide which demonstrative pronoun to use, ask yourself the following questions: 

1. Is the person, animal or thing near or far way? 
2. Is the person, animal or thing singular or plural? 

Wanneer gebruik je welk aanwijzend voornaamwoord?

Om te beslissen welk aanwijzend voornaamwoord je wanneer moet gebruiken moet je jezelf de volgende vragen stellen:

1. Is het ding dichtbij of ver weg?

2. Is het ding enkelvoud of meervoud?

Benoemen: Dichtbij (over here) ver weg (over there)
