Slide 8 - Tekstslide

Now get to
the not-so-much new grammar:
some...<>any...
There is only one new rule!

Slide 9 - Tekstslide

Slide 10 - Tekstslide

Do you see that we make a distinction between questions and their suspected answers?
Toen gebruikten we gewoon altijd any.

2 other examples
The fridge is open and you see that there is cheese in it and you haven't been arguing with your mother, so you expext her to be nice. Then you ask: "Can I have some cheese, please?" You expect her to answer "Yes, of course".
When you ask a random person on the street "Do you have any gold with you?" you expect him/her to answer "No, I don't".

Slide 13 - Tekstslide
