The world of work has changed drastically over the past decade. It is now more common for people to work for online services, such as bloggers, website designers or online customer support.
Due to this, the nature of hiring has changed, and companies are much more aware of how to search for someone's online profiles, to see if they are a good match for the company, in terms of ethics and personality. So, yes! It is very beneficial to have a positive online persona in the modern world!
