It's November..

But in a few weeks' time we'll be celebrating Saint Nicholas and Christmas. Also, we'll celebrate New Year's Eve(ning). In the capital of Scotland, Edinburgh, they celebrate this in a special way; It's called 'Hogmany'. Before we'll look at what the Scottish people do during Hogmany, I'd like to know how you celebrate Old Year's Day and New Year's Eve in Kampen.

'Een' in het Engels

Je zet 'an' voor een zelfstandig naamwoord (ding/dier/persoon/gebouw) als de eerste letter klinkt als een klinker (a,e,o,i,u). 

1. I ate an apple this morning. 

2. I saw an elephant in the zoo last week. 

3. My father is an ocean biologist. He studies animals that live in the sea. 

4. Let op!  An hour ago, we had a different lesson (je zegt dus 'our')
