Eis: de regering moet zich inzetten voor een vrije Molukse Republiek

In 1951 kwamen 12.500 Molukse KNIL-soldaten met hun vrouwen en kinderen op dienstbevel naar Nederland. De Ambonezen zouden een paar maanden blijven en zodra het mogelijk was terugkeren naar hun geboorteland. Lange leefden de Molukkers afgescheiden in barakkenkampen. Ze mochten niet werken, niet integreren en moesten zo min mogelijk in contact komen met Nederlanders ‘buiten’.
