Instructions

Thank a Teacher Day is on 19th of June, 2024. It is a day to celebrate all who work in schools and to thank them for their role in shaping our children and young people.

Why is Thank a Teacher Day Important?
Thank a Teacher Day is a day to show appreciation for the hard work and dedication of everyone who plays their part to help the children and young people in our schools. 

Thanking all our school staff help build a positive relationship with them. It makes them feel valued and appreciated, which can motivate them to continue doing their best.

Explain the importance of thanking teachers and how it can benefit both teachers and students.

Ways to Thank a Teacher
You can write a thank you note, make a card, or give a small gift to express your gratitude. You can also thank them in person or in a video message.
Say 'Thank You' Today!
Let's use the spinner to write a thank you note, card or picture to a member of the school staff. 

 Include specific examples of how they have helped you and why you appreciate them.

Provide examples of ways to thank a teacher and encourage students to brainstorm their own ideas.

Compile a photo scrapbook here which shows the vast range of jobs that are needed to help run our school.

Use this slide to encourage students to interact with staff across the school. You may wish to share this photo album with the rest of the school to celebrate the staff team.

Why not create a teacher appreciation wall in your classroom or on a virtual platform. Encourage students to contribute to a teacher appreciation wall and explain how it can create a positive classroom culture.
