Maia & formative ASSESSMENTS
Maia is your AI assistant embedded in LessonUp. You can use her help to create a lesson structure or interactive assessment features. With the arrival of Maia, you can also easily and relatively quickly prepare a formative assessment by using quiz questions.
Maia uses your slides as prompts, so the content of the quiz questions will match your lesson's content.
how does it work?
Step 1.
Make a copy of a lesson from which you want to create quiz questions. This is the lesson you will be working in. If you use the original, you may risk accidentally deleting slides.
Step 2
Select one or more slides from which you want to create quiz questions.
Step 3
Click on the 'Ask Maia' button.
Step 4
Maia will now use the text from your slides as a prompt to create quiz questions. In the window indicating number of questions, select 5. You can delete some of them later. Then click on 'Create'.
Step 5
Select the questions you want to use by checkmarking 'Use in lesson', then click on 'Create slides'.
Repeat these steps with each slide or group of slides on which you want to create quiz questions.
Step 6
Now delete all information slides from this lesson. You can do this by selecting them and deleting them all at once.
Step 7
Depending on how you want to use the assessment, you can also turn this lesson into a 'real' LessonUp test by setting the 'Test' slider to active.
