Simple Sentence

Complex Sentences

A Complex Sentence has one independent clause and one or more dependent clause(s).

Subordinating Conjunctions

•  link dependent clauses to independent clauses.

Examples of subordination conjunctions:

as, since, therefore, hence, consequently, though, due to,  because, unless, once, while, when, whenever, where, wherever, before, and after.

Dependent clauses often begin with subordinating conjunctions.
