Levels of English

A2 – pre-intermediate level: kan een aardig mondje Engels spreken en eenvoudige, formele notities schrijven

B1 – intermediate level: kan zich prima redden met langere, formele teksten en gesprekken, heeft grote woordenschat

B2 – upper-intermediate level: kan complexe teksten begrijpen, zich goed uitdrukken in het Engels (ook presenteren) en schrijft zonder moeite rapporten, brieven en verslagen

Instead of a standard introduction round I would like us to play a game called "Two Truths and a Lie"

TWO TRUTHS AND A LIE (2 waarheden en een leugen)

1. Every student prepares 3 statements/sentences about themselves, one of which is a lie, for example:

• I like swimming TRUE
  
• When I was a child I lived on a farm LIE
• My favourite singer is Marco Borsato TRUE

3. Every student has to read those statements out loud and the rest has to find out which one is a lie

•  This year I covered more than 1000 km while jogging
