Present simple?

When? to talk about fixed future events (schedules/ train/                    plane/ things you don't have an influence on)

How?    Verb or verb + s

example: The train leaves at 11:00

Be going to

When?  to talk about future plans or intentions

How      am / are / is + going to + base form

Example: I am going to be a teacher.

Will / Won't

When?  To make predictions about the future

How?     Will/ won't + infinitive

Example: The fairy will fly into the fireplace
