What You Might Not Know About Thanksgiving
Thanksgiving is often described as a happy story about brave settlers and kind Native Americans helping each other. But there’s more to the history.

After the settlers arrived, there were conflicts, including violence against Native tribes like the Pequot. What’s also often left out is that some settlers took food and even robbed graves from the Wampanoag people to survive during their early years.

This is why Thanksgiving is a complicated holiday. It’s important to think about the full history and show respect for everyone’s experiences.
