The Past Tenses

Slide 1 - Slide

Past Simple
eat > ate       break > broke      drive > drove       fall > fell

Slide 2 - Slide

Present Perfect
- Heeft vaak woorden in de zin zoals: for, since, never, ever
- Maak je door:
have/has + werkwoord + ed (I have talked, he has talked
- Denk om onregelmatige werkwoorden:
eat > ate > have eaten          break > broke > have broken

Slide 3 - Slide

Dus:
- "I talked to Jason yesterday."
= in het verleden gebeurd en afgelopen
    = past simple

- "I have lived in New York since last year"

                     was/were + werkwoord + ing

I/he/she/it = was watching, was eating, was listening

we/they/you = were watching, were eating, enz.

Slide 5 - Slide

Past Simple & Continuous
   continuous).

"I was waiting outside, when it started to rain."
"She saw Jaimy when she was cycling to school."
