TOP TIPS TO HELP YOU SUCCEED IN YOUR MATHS EXAM:
1. Clear your schedule - it's only one week!
Slide 10 - Slide
2. Get a plan. What will you aim to study each night? (Don't spend too long making the plan!)
3. DO MATHS!!! Don't just read notes and watch videos
Slide 11 - Slide
4. Little and often! Don't expect to cram everything in the day before the exam
5. Use your notes to help initially but gradually learn to do topics without your notes.
Slide 12 - Slide
6. Don't throw away easy marks. Take your time on your calculator. Watch for £ & p. Make sure your units are correct.
7. Explain what you're doing and show ALL your working out. It really does get you extra marks!
Slide 13 - Slide
8. Come back to questions that you haven't a clue about. Make sure you get all the 'easy' stuff done.
9. Watch the clock!!!
Slide 14 - Slide
10. Make a revision formulae sheet. Remember that some of the trickier formulae are on the inside cover of the exam paper.
11. Have confidence!! Even if you're unsure, write down what you can do, you may get some marks for it. Don't run away from 'scary' diagrams or algebra!
Slide 15 - Slide
12. Get proper sleep the night before. Have a good breakfast. Eat some sugar!! Sort out all your kit and ID the night before. Wrap up in case the exam room is cold.
