What did we do last lesson?

Lesson Objective

At the end of the lesson I can use 'some and any'

and I know how to use the 'present continuous'.

 

Some

You use some in affirmative sentences

Examples:

He has bought some flowers

I ate some bread.

I would like some tea.

Any

You use any in questions and negatives.

Examples:

I don’t have any bananas.

Do you have any money on you?

 

Exception

You can use some in questions, to which you expect the answer to be ‘yes’.

Examples:

Can I borrow some money?

Can I have some tea?

Note if a verb ends in a silent -e you leave out the e → dancing (not danceing)
